Upper and Lower Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) can restore a more youthful eyelid contour by removing the excess eyelid tissue. Upper and lower eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) can correct the problems of excess skin tissue and fat that contributes to eyelid puffiness or heaviness, reduction in side vision, redundant eyelid tissue or “baggy eyelids” and bags under the eyes.
A blepharoplasty procedure may involve removal of the excess eyelid tissue and fat through an incision hidden within a natural skin fold. The lower lid fat may be repositioned (fat transfer) to soften a depressed lower lid contour.
Eyelid surgery will not correct fine wrinkles, crow’s feet, or sagging eyebrows, but may be combined with other procedures, such a brow lift, to further enhance your overall appearance.
